View Full Version : get over the acute arthritis pain by doing simple things
hey i came across this that arthritis pain can be bought under control by doing very simple things like physical activity or exercises. I came across this thing in this site- www.myphield.com has shared with us. But just for easy sharing im putting it here. Spread it around to others who are suffering frm OA or RA and help them live a beautiful life too...
Reason Why Physical Activity Relieves Pain
Exercise dramatically increases the electrical activity in the body. The number of nerve and muscle impulses are naturally elevated when we are more active. Because every electrical impulse generates an electromagnetic field, exercise boosts the natural energy fields of the body. So, in addition to its strengthening and muscle toning benefits, exercise relieves chronic pain by generating more of the same electromagnetic energy that is used in BioResonance Therapy

It nice to know that exercise could be an alternative to get over the pain of arthritis. :) Is it be advisable to exercise almost everyday? Do you think climbing would be good for people who were diagnosed to have arthritis?

I was not in the best physical shape when I was diagnosed, and I agree that when I began to exercise regularly, my joints began to feel better and my symptoms did decrease.

Exercise is usually a good idea but no one should undertake anything too strenuous without talking with their doctor. Little things, though, can go a long way.

Exercise might be the last think on your mind when your joints are stiff and painful, but it's one thing you can do to take care of your joints. But first, you need to pace yourself. Don't over do it to avoid bad flare-up.

That's so true. I have a pretty good handle on my body and I know when I've reached that limit. I am extremely careful about pacing and such.

I 100% agree. Depending on how bad the flare is, exercise may need to be put off, at least that's what my doctor said. For minor flares I almost always do exercises that have little or no impact on the joints like swimming. Pacing myself has always helped.

I do agree that exercise is always a good idea but I just can't seem to find the energy to do it. I'm a lone parent of 2 teenagers and work long hours as a teacher and I'm constantly tired.

It's long time I have not posted here that my sister who is having RA and very often get severe shoulder pain, the main problem for the past 4 years. She was advised to undergo many treatments. After all the things, now she is taking few medicines regularly. But the one thing she is very adamant is her diet and normal exercises. She does it regularly and daily. The doctor who is treating her also accepted that it's because of my sister's sheer guts, she is able to overcome the pain of RA.
