Hi all,

I am new to this forum. I am here to seek help and guidance so that I can cure my mother of arthritis.

My mother has chronic diseases and her worst pain is arthritis. she has a pain management doctor and therapist, both who are trying to find a happy medium. She also has polymyalgia rheumatica, rheumatoid arthritis and osteo-arthritis.

She is 71 years of age and also has hip problems. She takes five medications (prednisone, methotrexate, enbrel injections, folic acid and hydroxychloroquine). The pain medicine is vicdon.

We have tried consulting quite a few people and also by posting FAQ's in a few sites like caring.com (http://www.caring.com/questions/i-have-chronitic-deases-and-my-worse-pain-is-arthritsis-i); but I do not want to make any hasty decision regarding her treatment. So I was wondering are there any other medications that could work for her?
