Everyone I know, including me, was diagnosed in their 20's or 30's. Just wondering if anyone was diagnosed later in life or maybe when you were a kid?

I was diagnosed with it in my mid twenties, in my elbow. It is now in one knee and also my ankles are starting to feel it. I wish I knew how to stop the spread!
I was diagnosed with RA at 62. At 52 or 53 I developed a pain in my hip and tested positive for the RA factor. I made a diet change and had no symptoms until 61. Also had rheumatic fever as a child, at ages 5 and 15.
Having had rheumatic fever, I always expected some related illness later in life. And here it is. It came as no surprise.

I had the symptoms of RA during the summer when I was 24. I was dxd. when I was 25.
My 1st Cousin was dxd. with Juvenile RA when he was 10. My Dad was dxd. at age 68. My other Relatives with RA were dxd. at ages in between 10 and 68.
Kids as young as 2 have been dxd. with Juvenile RA(same disease-just younger age).

Yes, it affects girls in particular in the age between 20 and 30 as you mentioned. But, I think women who are in Pregnancy and as well as who are above 40 are the most vulnerable to this RA due the some hormone change in their body. It is due to aging factor. Children also get affected by RA and I think it might be because of some deficiency in their body's immune system.
