I think you should find out why you are always in pain. You can have pain from things like vitamin deficiency. A good physical work up will help you know what you really need. Taking OTC is fine, but you should know why and limit how much

when you mean physical work up does it mean a executive laboratory check up?

"Lounge Talk about anything but Rheumatoid Arthritis."

I didn't mean to point this out only to you but the lounge it says is for everything besides arthritis since there are already other folders for that. There have been several people though that are posting RA related threads in here.

Actually it's pretty much the same person that I've noticed has done the posting in the lounge. I would hope the admin would just delete the thread and the initiator should repost them him/herself in the proper place.

If you getting the pain intermittently and getting relieved, please refer to a Rheumatologist as this could be because of RA. My wife do started like this for the pain in her foot. It started at foot and then developed at shoulders and neck. Now, she is taking a regular course of medicine.

Wow, if you have RA and OTC meds. work to take the pain from your joints, you're Very lucky. I always needed prescription drugs to get rid of some or all the pain for a while in my joints. Perhaps your's is mild RA then.

I guess if you always feel pain you really need to have a a general checkup and take prescription drugs this will really help a lot.

Kinds of paid differ, and I would not say no to pain kilers if it comes to relieving the pain in the joints momentarily. But if the pain lingers and continues unabated, then a doctor has to be consulted and self medication should be avoided at any cost.
