Heard back on some of my blood work, by vit D was very low, I have been taking vitamin D since June, 2000 IU a day and this has barely moved the readings. Also increased vit D in my diet, but want to be careful Kidney stones EGH! Thinking maybe I just need a better brand of Vit D that absorbs in the system- any low Vit D that managed to bring it back in line? What brand Vits?

Cholecalciferol, Calcidiol, Calcitriol. Out of these cholecalciferol is the natural form of vitamin D.

I haven't had issues with my vitamin D, but my doctor basically insisted on Jamieson for my B100 supplement, after I'd started on another brand. Anyway, it seems to have helped my bloodwork results.
I assume Jamieson also makes D supplements. Maybe that would be worth a try?

Is that an over the counter vitamin? I can't say thats a brandname that i am familiar with, I will have to search for it on the net, thanks for letting me know, I have my next series of bloodwork coming up and I really do not want shots

Apart from thinking to go for vit D tablets, what I would suggest is you can consult a nutritionist and take natural products which are rich in Vitamin D. I feel by this way your body will naturally absorb all the necessary vitamins and help you develop the immune system.

Instead of relying on artificial sources of Vitamin D you can change your food diet to include foods which are rich in Vitamin D. Some of the vitamin D rich foods are Herring, catfish,Salmon, Mackerel etc.

I have not been diagnosed with a Vit D deficiency either, so could it be something not related to the arthritis? It seems like it would be important to keep it in line since it can help with moods.

Apart from this I think one can consider to have the following : Non-prescription vitamin D supplements which are available in the United States named as either Vitamin D2 Ergocalciferol or Vitamin D3 Cholecalciferol.
