It is getting colder and winter is near- I pulled out some sweaters today. I was wondering has anyone else ever noticed that natural yarns like wool and cottons seem to keep the joints warmer with less inflammation? Maybe it is just my imagination but today I wore the poly blend and sure enough now my shoulders acting up. Anyone else think natural is better?

I've never noticed a relationship between what I was wearing and discomfort, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was one.
I wonder if it's just about keeping warm, or if it really matters what the material is?
In general, I notice in recent years I like to wear plenty of layers when I'm out in the cold.

Ricardo I started to wonder after I got a gift of one of those pads filled with rice and lavender that you heat up, this first one was cotton and I loved it- I got a second but I guess the material is some sort of blend and I noticed a difference in the way it transfered the heat, that got me thinking about the natural vs synthetic cloths. I tend to layer to but at times it feels restrictive

It is winter in India too and the need for sweaters is very much felt over here. But I am not sure whether sweaters would lessen the pain arising due to RA. Sweater is a sage clothing and it might control the effect of the climate on the body to some extent. As it was discussed season changes have got something to do with arthritis.
