For the ladies on this site, does your arthritis flare up around 'that time' of the month? It seems like if I do anything to retain fluid, including being a girl, it causes a flare up.

Yes fluid retention can be a problem, it causes extra pressure on the joints which just adds to the over all discomfort. You can talk to your OB, they can prescribe a diuretic that can help you with the water retention and additional weight gain

It happened so that my wife is showing the symptoms of RA and going a preliminary examination, she could be able to just a put a word or two on this front in the coming months.

Yes, absolutely...I also get awful flare up in my knees of all places around that. Add that in with irritability, moodiness, munchies, and I am not really fun to be around :D.

Having the period of the month is a problem with my wife and all I have to do is understand and support her. It really adds up to the stress and tension and it's the time the partner to be understanding.
