Just wondering what sort of hobbies you all may do to keep you moving over the winter. I don't like the cold and now that my eyes are failing I look for inside hobbies that I can do. Any suggestions?

What I usually like to do is to go shopping...in the mall of course!

I have absolutely the same feelings about the winter and the cold as you are. I don't like the cold and I'm not feeling well in the winter. The most activities that I am permitting to myself in the winter time is hiking.

I am a sufferer from regular cold and especially winter is a hard time for me to pass without suffering from cold. I do normal exercise to keep my body warm and do walking twice a day during winter. Apart from this I play with my son who is the main source of energy for me to tide over all sort of mental stress. He is into his second grade and very active.

I usually like winter but to get through this season I usually play cards with my family and friends or just stay stuck in front of my computer.

I think winter is a part to enjoy but could not off late. In our area, its getting too excessive cold than normal and sometimes, its creating a heck of problem to drive on the highways. I think all this is because of global warming which is quietly changing the normal climate condition which we use to see some quarter century ago.

I too do not like the winter season. My nose runs and my body becomes stiff during winter. I would like to get up from the bed rather late than I do during other seasons. But In India we are all used to more of summer than any other seasons. We enjoy summer and the rainy seasons.

I read - a lot!

And since I am fortunate enough to live in New York, I do a lot of visiting to the warm art venues and galleries and the glorious church music events that occur many times a week. This city is a feast of music and art, much of it very inexpensive and/or free (for example, the great Juilliard school has several free events pretty much every week).
