Hi, we are discussing only about the pain and severity of RA. Why not talk about the expense? Being a chronic disease and to take continuous medicine, what is the kind expense you are undergoing? comes lets discuss not in full detail but to an extent.

The out-of-pocket burden is substantial, particularly in those less than 65 years of age. Out-of-pocket expenses exert their severity predominantly on those with the most severe RA who have the least ability to pay. Household income is the primary determinant of out-of-pocket burden, followed by RA severity, and type of health insurance.

You'll get answers all over the place. A few of us are lucky to have both Medicare and an excellent supplemental plan (through my husband's retirement..), but we know SO many folks who have to suffer terrible expenses. Even with Medicare, many of our friends have very limited medication coverage in their supplements. We're hoping that however the current healthplan emerges from Congress that it relieves some of the burden on those who are having the most problems with expenses. We're not optimistic, though, because so many of those arguing against it just don't seem to care about those who are in financial straits.

It is not politicians are worried about an individual's financial dire situations, its their pocket losing the kind of amount for not lobbying for medical companies. They are pretending as if working for us, but for the medical industry. So, I doubt whether the health care bill will be passed.
