I have RA..but also have a genetic marker HLA B27 for AS.
I have had MRI scans which have only show spondylosis in my neck so far and a prolapsed disc in my back, my rheumy says its a waiting game for me if i will get full blown AS or not. I also suffer from Iritis which goes hand in hand with AS...thankfully havent had a flare of that since i was put on methotrexate.
RA is bad enough, i am trying not to think about what my life will be like if full AS kicks in.
