Thanks, Nature Lover, that is a wonderful list to remind us of the common helpers that we all forget are easily available to us. After I had my artificial hip put in, I was very reliant on my "grabber" (or "reacher") for six months, and since I'm not supposed to bend over too much, ever, I still use it quite often. Great List!

My mother used a kind of walking stick that was order from the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India. The stick had three legs. She felt very comfortable while using that stick. But the doctor asked her to walk even without its help.

I recently got a liftchair. They are very expensive but what a difference.I was looking in the want ads and Craigs list. There was one in paper but we just missed it.Craigs list had a few but too far away.My oldest son God bless him, bought it for me.You can check the Senior centers in your area.Sad to say but people are dieing everyday and their children don,t know what to do with them.Alot of them are hardly used.Estate sales and yard sales are good places to look also.
