My sister will be seeing her doctor about this next week but just wondering if anyone has heard of foot pain being a side effect of RA? The pain is not coming from her ankle or toes, but instead it is on the ball and the arch of her foot and it has gotten so bad that it is hard for her to walk.

My mother had the pain in the bottom of the foot in the early part of the day. She used to complain of such a kind of pain the moment she got up from the bed daily in the morning. But I remember the pain subsided as the day progressed.

gosh my feet hurt all the time. I've also had plantar fasciitis which is inflammation of the tendon running along the bottom of your foot from your heel up. It hurts something awful. The balls of my feet hurt too. My doc said it was due to RA. blah!

Hi, i also suffered from really bad foot pain, especially on the balls of my feet and also ankle. In the morning sometimes i can hardly walk, seems to get better as the day goes on and I move around a bit. I do find wearing flat shoes with a fairly cushioned sole helps.
