Welcome. Here's something I just posted for someone else, and it may be useful for you as well. Yes, there is lots of info here, nice people who post URL's and quotes from various studies, and tidbits of how to cope with what can be a very frustrating disease.

People have suggested the local branch of the ARthritis Foundation as being very helpful on all counts. A good web starting place is the about.com section on rheumatoid arthritis. And there are many other web sites, each one of which slightly expands your knowledge. Be forewarned, though: the "causes" are not known, certainly not for any given person; the progress of the disease is hugely variable from person to person and is unpredictable; initial medicines (plaquenil, sulfasalazine, methotrexate, and sometimes prednisone) are standard and vary from doctor to doctor, but the use of biologics is changing almost daily as new products come on the market. It's a disease you really have to keep up with. Stay tuned! kageyd

Hi, with sincere hope consider you or your kith or kin don't have RA. If so, a very good url to have important news about RA. Otherwise, not a place to just relax, as our member are always busy fighting with pain of RA (pun intended). Take care and hope in good health.
