Hello!
Just thought i'd share something intresting with you.
I just read an article about womans hormones playing a major factor in RH. And woman having RH three times as bad as men do.
Come to think about it... I was on birth control pills for almost five years with no questions of even having RH, just a pain in my one knee every now and then, not thinking much about it. I was off of the pill for two years. Got pregnant, I had my daughter. And afterwards had first real signs and symptoms of RH and was tested positive and accumulated so many problems... I know that estrogen and progesterone play a major roll with RH. Do you think that taking "the pill" again may help with symptoms of this disease? I may of had RH the whole time and didn't even know it! Thinking, praying and hoping that it might make a positive change in my really bad pain.... I'm gonna do it! Ill keep you informed on what happens! What the heck ;)

Unfortunately, they really don't know what causes RA. There are lots of theories out there about it though. In some cases it does seem that some women start having signs right after having a baby but there is just not enough evidence out there to suggest that hormones are the cause. I have a friend who developed lupus after the birth of her firstborn. They are doing research on it because they want to find the link as to why more women have RA than men. With that being said, I have no idea if birth control pills will help your symptoms...my guess is probably not but hey I'm no doc! If you are taking any of the RA meds (which I hope you are) then you should be on birth control pills anyway (if you are married or in a relationship) as the meds can cause severe birth defects. I know how you feel about wanting something like birth control pills to make us feel better. I wish there was something like that , that could just take this all away.

Hi!
I just figure why not try the pill :) I already have two beautiful children, so I am done having kids. I know my symptoms started after the birth of my first and got even worse after having my second. Makes you wonder... Maybe the ballance of hormones will work for me. What do I have to lose ? I am and forever will be searching for the answer/cure of what happened too me.
