Hello,

I have some problems with my feet for 2 years now. First it was just a light pain in some of joints of my feet. But the since about 3 months the pain is much more stronger. I went to my doctor and he said this could be some kind of joint disease, he sent me to a rheumatologist. I have the appointment in a week. Im scared now that this could be an arthritis or something like that. The doc.also said that this could be something to do with some skin problems on my feet. I attached a picture, maybe someone here has a similiar problem.

Thank you.

Trixie, you probably won't find anyone here who would venture to guess what you have, at least not from that picture. This has become a very quiet forum, with very few people posting.

I suggest that, if you don't have a Facebook page, you sign on and get one as soon as possible (I'm 69, and if I can learn it, ANYONE CAN). It's free, no hassles. When you have your home page with an absolute minimum of information filled out, look at Groups, and "join a Group" called Rheumatoid Arthritis Group, the one with over 3,000 members. Then when you get there go to the Discussion section, and post there just what you posted here. You will get replies quickly.

A lot of people with RA have problems with feet, but the problems are usually focussed on pain in the joints. I don't have that problem, so I have no idea if others with foot pain show the kind of skin eruptions that your photo shows. Yes, a Rheumatologist is DEFINITELY in order for you, preferably a relatively younger one who is in touch with current research.

There are many of us out here with RA who try to educate and support one another, and the BEST place I have found is that Facebook Group. The other forums are now almost empty.

All my hopes for you. I read here regularly when there are new posts, so let me know what the Rheumy says. Also, if you have troubles with Facebook, contact me here and if I can't answer you I have friends on Facebook who helped me get started who can do the same for you. Kageyd
