Hello All,

To give a little background - I just finished my breast cancer treatments and started having issues with pain all over my body. Swelling and burning in the joints, never mind the sweats and fever. I also suffer from lymphidemia in my left arm.

So after months of tests the Dr. informed me that I have RA. I cried my eyes out, had more x-rays and to add to the pain I have are degenerative disc disease in disc L 4-5 that gives me issues also.

I am looking for information and support and this forum looks like it may help.

Bless your heart. I know how all of that adding up on you can really bring you down, not to mention that one of the side effects of RA is that it can cause depression. First, make sure you talk to your doctor and let him know how overwhelmed you feel. Then, always know you can come here for a virtual hug, at least from me. If you ever need to vent and just get things off of your chest, I'm here. Some days I feel like I just hate the hand I've been dealt and other times, I think, at least I have insurance and a supportive family... I know others that don't. I hope good news comes to you soon. And happier times head your way! If you ever need advice or information, I'll do all I can to help. Just know, you aren't alone in this. Everyone here knows the pain and exhaustion you feel.

Hi all,
just got news i have to have an Altrsound on my overies, now that is just what i need, RA, Cancer and now more teats. I sure am ready for a break. I would love to have a day off from worry, this is my 1 year anniversary of my Breast cancer. It would be nice to say to all that I feel great.

The PT helps and the Mexo does not mess me up much, I do hate the prednisone, makes me boated. I will keep puttting 1 foot in front of the other and hopefully I wil be retired soon and not have to deal with ohter peoples suff. (i answer 9-1-1 and dispatch police and fire).
